Revitalizing the facade
We were mandated by the Centre de Services Scolaires de la Vallée-des-Tisserands (CSSVT) to review the design of the exterior envelope of the Dominique-Savio School and to renovate it. This school, built in the 1960s, is located in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield.
For this mandate, the work focused on revitalizing the facade. The intention was to focus on the main entrance which now houses an elementary school.
The existing one-story building and its imposing exterior soffits gave the impression of crushing. By removing this element, it gives height and lightens the building allowing the entrance to be highlighted.
